CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS FOR OCTOBER 2023
We are thrilled to provide you with an update on the construction progress of our Srinakarin campus. We are delighted to announce that the construction work has been advancing significantly. Our construction team has been working tirelessly, and their dedication is clearly visible in the progress we have made. Both the exterior and interior of the building are now 95% complete, and this milestone represents a significant step towards realising our vision for a cutting-edge learning environment.
The installation of crucial components such as windows, doors, tiles, ceiling, lighting, air-conditioning, public announcement systems, elevators, and paintwork has been successfully accomplished in most areas of the building. This ensures that our future students will have access to a comfortable, safe, and secure environment that is conducive to learning.
To provide you with a visual update on our construction progress, we invite you to watch our video, which highlights the remarkable developments we have achieved.
We are genuinely excited about the endless opportunities that this new campus will offer to our students, and we eagerly anticipate the day we can welcome everyone to the Srinakarin campus.
We sincerely thank you for your unwavering support throughout this exciting journey. Together, we are building a brighter future for our students.
RECYCLING BINS
We would like to share with you a new initiative that we will be implementing at St. Mark’s starting Tuesday, 24 October. As part of our commitment to the environmental sustainability and social responsibility, we will be introducing separate waste bins for recycling purposes.
There will be two types of bins placed around the school. The first type will be designated for paper and cardboard waste, and the second type for cans and plastic bottles. By encouraging students to use these bins for recycling, we aim to achieve several objectives:
- Environmental Awareness: We aim to foster a sense of environmental responsibility among our students. By encouraging them to participate actively in recycling, we hope to help them understand the significance of conserving resources and protecting our planet.
- Community Engagement: Recycling isn't just a local effort; it has global implications. Through active participation in our recycling program, our students will realize the role they play in contributing to the well-being of both our local community and the world at large.
- Educational Opportunities: This recycling initiative provides educational opportunities for our teachers to incorporate sustainability into their curricula. We aim to encourage a holistic approach to learning, one that empowers our students with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions about their environmental impact.
- Eco-Friendly Practices: Our school has always strived to set an example for our students. Through this program, we aim to showcase that even small changes can have a significant positive impact on the environment. We want to instill in our students the belief that every action, no matter how minor, contributes to a more sustainable future.
We kindly request your support and cooperation in helping your child understand the importance of using these recycling bins. We are excited about the positive change this initiative will bring to our school, and we look forward to working hand-in-hand with our parents and students to make it a success. Together, we can make a significant difference
CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL DAY: EMBRACING THE "PEACE OF POSSIBILITIES"
October 12 was a day of cultural celebration at St. Mark's. Our International Day, themed "Peace of Possibilities," brought everyone together to celebrate our diverse school community. It was a big success and left us feeling united.
The highlight of the day was the students' fantastic presentations. Leading up to the event, our students picked countries they loved and learned about their traditions, music, and dance. They performed with enthusiasm, using traditional instruments like drums and maracas, and wowed the audience.
After the performances, students explored classrooms transformed into cultural showcases. Each room represented a different country, with games and activities to learn about their customs and traditions. Visitors collected stamps in a "passport" and had fun while learning.
The togetherness continued with a potluck lunch. We all shared dishes from around the world, showing our love for global flavors. Parents, students, and teachers chatted, sharing stories and insights about understanding different cultures.
Our International Day made us appreciate our diverse world. It reminded us that we're not just classmates, but global citizens with a chance for cooperation and respect.
The "Peace of Possibilities" theme showed that celebrating our differences can bring positive change. We hope this event planted seeds of unity in our students' hearts.
We're thankful to our dedicated students, parents, and teachers for making this day special. The success of International Day reflects our commitment to a global perspective and a harmonious world.
