Pre-Preparatory - Letter O: Easy and Fun Octopus Art Activity
As a part of this week’s lesson about the letter “O”, our Pre-Prep students had fun making their own paper Octopus in their Art class.
Year 5 Science - Circuits
Our Year 5 students learned how to make a simple electrical circuit using simple materials such as a battery, safety pin, wires, and a bulb during their Science class.
Year 7 Science - Magnesium and Hydrogen Experiment
Year 7 class was learning about chemical reactions. They used their skills to light the Bunsen burner correctly and burn Magnesium to produce Magnesium Oxide. The class then prepared the equipment to watch Magnesium react with Sulfuric Acid. They collected the hydrogen gas and ignited it, producing the squeaky pop sound.
Year 8 Physics - Measuring Car Velocity
The Year 8 students completed a Physics practical to find out the average speed of cars driving past the school on RAMA 9 Road. They measured out a 50 m distance on the footpath and timed the cars, from start to finish for this distance. The students discussed the variables and difficulties that needed to be overcome before collecting the data. From the 10 vehicles, they measured, the average speed of the cars was 63.9 km per hour.
Years 8 & 9 General Knowledge - Think Tank Project
Year 8 - Racism
Pataraporn, Sumarilyn, and Natchayathorn of Year 8 depicted stories about racism. Their stories reflected the time of the Hollocaust, as well as the tragic story of George Floyd.
Year 8 - Deforestation, Homelessness and Animal Extinction
Praew, Cleojia, and Chanidapa of Year 8 presented their comical skits on the effect of deforestation and animal-hunting, which have been the major extinction threats to many animal species.
Year 8 - Global Warming
Xyren, Kanna, and Manutsanunn of Year 8 used their artistic skills, through their drawings, to tell stories of air pollution and water pollution and how our modern way of life is creating immense problems for the well-being of this world.
Year 9 - Depression and Bullying
Jessica, Natta-Attaporn, Chinana, and Jane of Year 9 reflected a story about depression in young adolescents, where many were victims of abuse at school.
Year 9 - Drug Abuse and Violence
Nakamon, Annabelle, Natta-Attaporn of Year 9 reflected their story through a skit about drug addiction and violence, where many of the victims are children of the drug users.
Year 9 - Human Trafficking
Tinn, Thaweerat, and Punnathorn of Year 9 presented a skit to reflect social issues with human trafficking.
