6 "Top in Thailand Awards" for IGCSE and A-Level 2021 won by St. Mark's Students

It is our pleasure to announce the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award winners from our school. Cambridge International Education has acknowledged St. Mark's students with remarkable achievements in winning 6 magnificent "Top in Thailand" awards in 2021. 

These awards given by Cambridge recognise the talent, dedication, and commitment of the students and the teaching staff at St. Mark's. Our students were recognised by Cambridge for their splendid accomplishments, receiving the ‘Top in Thailand’ and "Cambridge High Achievement" awards for the following category:

Pongsatorn won the "Top in Thailand" for IGCSE Biology 2021

Pongsatorn won the "Top in Thailand" for IGCSE Chemistry 2021

Natchayathorn won the "Top in Thailand" for IGCSE Mathematics 2021

Natchayathorn won the "Top in Thailand" for IGCSE Additional Mathematics 2021

Tampraphon won the "Top in Thailand" for A-Level Mathematics 2021

Zhuoran won the "Top in Thailand" for A-Level Computer Science 2021

Tampraphon won the "Cambridge High Achievement Award" for A-Level Mathematics 2021

Looking back at our achievement history, in June 2019, St. Marks' student was awarded with "Top in Thailand" title for IGCSE Physics, despite sitting the exam a year earlier than other students. In November 2019, our student was awarded with "Cambridge High Achievement Award" for IGCSE Chemistry. 

St. Mark's is a Tri-lingual School of Mathematics and Science. Our comprehensive Maths and Science program and qualified teaching staff have helped build confidence in learners to achieve in these subject areas. As a school, we work together to ensure that every student is cared for.  For our students to achieve such remarkable accomplishments, these stem from the collaborous work of our dedicated teaching staff and the approach we manage and monitor our students' progress and learning. A conducive work environment where every staff works collaborously together to achieve a common goal is the key to our success. We strive to create an environment that supports our students' learning and aims for the highest possible outcome, where each student understands what it takes to achieve a superior grade.  When we have a combination of good resources coming together, these ultimately lead to success.

A-LEVEL ACHIEVEMENTS 2022

With the recent announcement of A-Level results for the science subjects, we are overjoyed by our students' outstanding overall accomplishment.

100% of all A-level grades were within A*- C

69% of all A-level grades achieved grades A* - A

32% of all A-level grades achieved grades A*

St. Mark's students have set the mark on this examination and have demonstrated a high level of resilience and a superb attitude to all the changes that have taken place in schools during the pandemic, which have been particularly challenging for students across the world. For St. Mark's, the results are again the currency that leads them to an extraordinary list of university destinations of their choice.

Not only do our students secure places in world-class universities worldwide, but a number of them achieved the Top in Thailand Awards and have been offered scholarships to study in some of the world's best universities.

Scholarship Awards from 2 Top Universities

Tampraphon recipient of  "Top in Thailand" A-Level Mathematics" received 2 Scholarship offers for Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University, as well as Shanghai Jiaotong - University of Michigan Joint Institute (both World's Top 100 Universities)

Zhuoran recipient of "Top in Thailand" A-Level Computer Science" – applying for Bachelor of Computer Science at MIT, Carnegie Mellon, The University of Hong Kong (all World’s Top 100 Universities)

Thananchai – received an offer for a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at The University of Western Australia (World’s Top 100 Universities). 

Tyler - applying for Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology at Chulalongkorn University (one of Thailand’s Top Universities)

Melanie - offered to study Bachelor of Business at 2 popular Australian universities namely, Swinburne University, as well as Deakin University

Tanusit - received a Scholarship offer in May 2021 to study at Trinity College at the University of Melbourne (World’s Top 100 Universities)

This week, our School’s Administrative team has presented your child with an Award of Excellence certificate.  

As a way of acknowledging your child’s achievement, all students who received this award will attend a special “Award of Excellence Breakfast” scheduled for Friday, 25 March during our morning snack.  Please join us in congratulating your child for their accomplishment.
