PRIMARY SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM - FOR STUDENTS IN CURRENT YEAR 1 - 5

We would like to inform parents of our upcoming Summer School Program, which will run from June 15 to July 8, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. The program is open to all current students, as well as any outside family or friends who would like to experience the learning environment and opportunities, filled with enjoyment and fun-learning activities.
Our Primary Summer School program focuses on thematic learning, which gives students the opportunity to develop a variety of different skills and knowledge, centred on a number of interesting educational themes. Students will approach different themes through fun-filled activities that help develop their key learning areas in English, Maths, Science, SOSE, and Art, while also using a variety of communication skills through listening, reading, writing, and presenting materials. Not only does this engage students’ interest and motivation, but it also teaches our students to learn how to integrate various skills and knowledge into their daily lives, resulting in higher retention rates. In addition, students will also have the opportunity to engage in fun learning activities such as sports, team-building activities, and language support classes in Thai and Mandarin. Please see the flyer of curriculum and timetable attached for more details.
We encourage all students to participate in this fun-filled and creative learning environment. Tuition for the program is 35,000 Baht. A special 5,000 Baht discount applies to all St. Mark’s students, and tuition stands at 30,000 Baht. This is inclusive of materials and supplies, as well as healthy lunch. Should you wish to enroll your child(ren) in this program, please complete the Reply Form below and return it to School Office by Tuesday, 31 May 2022.

SECONDARY SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM - FOR STUDENTS IN CURRENT YEAR 6 - 7

The program is open to all current students, as well as any outside family or friends who would like to experience the learning environment and opportunities, filled with meaningful learning activities, essential for a head-start in the Secondary program.
Our Year 6-7 Summer School program focuses on Sciences, Mathematics, English, and the foreign languages in Mandarin and Thai, where students will be given opportunities to learn and develop a head-start in various skills, necessary for success in the Secondary program. Students will approach different activities that will help foster their understanding in key learning areas in English, Maths, Science, Mandarin, and Thai. Not only does this engage students’ interest and motivation, but it also teaches our students to learn how to integrate various skills and knowledge into their daily lives, resulting in higher retention rates.
This is especially true with the learning of science, where during the COVID pandemic, students have been deprived of doing hands-on experiments, which are crucial experiences necessary for the learning and understanding of science.
Taught by teachers who are experienced with the delivery of the Secondary curriculum, our program is specifically designed to foster students’ understanding of the important concepts in Maths and Science using carefully designed hands-on experiments, focusing on just one or two important concepts each day to ensure students’ understanding. Our carefully planned program will enable students to develop confidence in their math and science knowledge, fostering the understanding required for success in the Secondary program. Please see the timetable attached for more details.

KINDERGARTEN MANDARIN: 大 - Big, 小 - Small, 多 - Many, 少 - Few
Kindergarten students were engaged in an interactive discussion about the following Chinese words: 大 - Big | 小 - Small | 多 - Many | 少 - Few.
Students were assessed on their understanding when they were expected to raise a card that depicts that word being mentioned by the teacher.
PRE-PREP THAI: ENDING SOUND (เติมตัวสะกด)
This week, Pre-Prep students learned the Thai phonics ending sounds. Our Thai teacher asked our students to go to the board one by one to write the correct ending sound for every word displayed on the board.
PRIMARY & SECONDARY EXAM

Our Primary and Secondary students sat for their year-end examinations from 16-27 May. During the exam weeks, we have witnessed their diligence and commitment. We wish them good results in this examination.
