COVID TESTING FOR STUDENTS
In light of the recent Covid-19 cases within our community, we kindly request your cooperation in helping us ensure the health and safety of all students and staff. Beginning Sunday, 11 May, we are implementing a regular Covid-19 testing schedule for all students before attending school. Please carefully follow the guidelines below:
1. Testing Schedule: Students must take a Covid-19 test every Sunday, Tuesday, and
Thursday.
2. Submission of Results: Test results must be submitted via the school’s official LINE
account by 5:00 PM on each testing day.
3. Test Slab Submission: Students must present their test slabs to the duty teacher
upon arrival at school the next morning.
4. Positive Results: Any student who tests positive must NOT attend school. Parents are required to notify the school immediately via direct message.
With the upcoming examination period, it is especially important that we work together to maintain a safe learning environment for everyone. We appreciate your continued support and cooperation.
ISA HIGH ACHIEVERS 2025

We are excited to share a good news with you regarding our students' outstanding performance in the 2025 International Schools Assessment (ISA). The ISA is a globally respected assessment that evaluates students’ skills in Mathematics, Reading, Narrative Writing, and Exposition Writing, providing valuable insights into how our learners compare internationally.
Our students performed exceptionally well in this year's ISA, with many achieving results that exceeded both national and international benchmarks. This reflects not only the hard work and determination of our students but also the tireless efforts and professionalism of our dedicated teaching team.
We are especially proud of the following achievements:
In Mathematics, students demonstrated strong analytical and reasoning skills, with many displaying excellent problem-solving capabilities.
In Reading, results reflected high levels of comprehension, interpretation, and critical thinking.
In Narrative Writing, students impressed with creative storytelling, structure, and language use.
In Exposition Writing, they showcased clear arguments, logical flow, and persuasive expression.
A special congratulations goes to those students whose results placed them in the top 1%, top 5%, top 10%, and top 15% of all ISA participants globally. Your achievements are remarkable and a source of great pride for our school community.
We believe these outcomes highlight the strength of our educational approach, which balances academic excellence with critical thinking and social-emotional learning. Our commitment to nurturing well-rounded, confident learners continues to be at the heart of everything we do.
Well done, St. Mark’s students—and a heartfelt congratulations to everyone who contributed to these fantastic results!

FOOD TASTING EVENT
Last April 29 and 30, we were delighted to host a special food tasting event for our parents, offering a delicious preview of our new school food menu.
Throughout the two-day event, parents had the opportunity to sample a wide variety of dishes from our updated offerings, including flavorful options from the Thai section, a range of international favorites, as well as a selection of fresh salads and wholesome snacks that will soon be served to our students.
The event provided a great platform for parents to experience the quality, variety, and nutritional value of the meals that will fuel our learners throughout the day.
A big thank you to all the parents who joined us—we value your support and feedback as we continue to improve our students' dining experience.
HPV VACCINE ADMINISTRATION
On April 29, we welcomed representatives from the Ministry of Public Health to our campus for the HPV vaccine administration. The vaccination was offered to students from Year 5 to Year 12 who had registered in advance.
The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine is an important step in protecting students' long-term health, helping prevent infections that can lead to certain types of cancer later in life. We are grateful to the medical team for their professionalism and care throughout the process.
Thank you to all the families who supported this initiative and to the students who participated in this important health measure.
Our school remains committed to promoting student well-being through both education and access to preventive healthcare services.
SHOWCASE Y7 MUSIC: FLY ME TO THE MOON
Our talented Year 7 students took the spotlight in a special music showcase, where they performed the classic "Fly Me to the Moon" using recorders.
Over the past term, students have been learning to play the recorder in their music class, developing their musical skills, rhythm, and confidence. Their performance was a wonderful culmination of their hard work and dedication, and they truly shone on stage! Parents in the audience were delighted by the melodic rendition and impressed by the students’ progress.
SHOWCASE Y8 MATHS: CELCIUS AND FAHRENHEIT
As part of the student showcase, our Year 8 students presented what they’ve been learning in their math class—converting between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
During the presentation, students demonstrated their understanding of the two temperature scales and explained how to use the formulas:
Celsius to Fahrenheit: (°C × 9/5) + 32
Fahrenheit to Celsius: (°F − 32) × 5/9
They showed how to solve conversion problems step by step and shared examples to reinforce their learning. It was a great opportunity for students to explain a real-world math skill with clarity and confidence.
SHOWCASE Y9 SCIENCE: PRECIPITATION REACTIONS
Our Year 9 students had an engaging science presentation on precipitation reactions, demonstrating their growing understanding of chemical compounds and solubility.
As part of their chemistry unit, students explained the differences between soluble and insoluble compounds, particularly salts, and how certain reactions form a precipitate—a solid that forms when two solutions are mixed.
To bring their learning to life, they conducted live demonstrations, including:
Creating silver chloride by mixing two clear solutions and observing a white solid form.
Producing silver iodide, showcasing another example of a classic precipitation reaction.
Their confident explanations and careful handling of the experiments made the session both informative and exciting for all who attended.
SHOWCASE Y6 MANDARIN: THE LEGEND OF NIAN
Our Year 6 Mandarin students brought the famous Chinese New Year legend of Nian, the mythical monster, to life this week through an engaging drama performance.
In this traditional tale, Nian terrorized villages every year until the villagers discovered that loud noises and the color red would scare the monster away. The students skillfully reenacted the story, with some playing the roles of villagers and the monster, while one student narrated the story, guiding the audience through the adventure.
Their lively performance not only entertained the audience but also helped deepen their understanding of Chinese culture and the traditions surrounding Chinese New Year.
SHOWCASE Y5 ENGLISH: DRAMA
Our Year 5 students showcased their creativity and love of literature through a series of drama performances based on the books they are currently reading in English class. The featured titles included:
The Tale of Despereaux
Darkling Wood
The Book of Stolen Dreams
Each group selected a key scene from their book to reenact, with one student serving as the narrator to guide the audience through the story. The performances captured each story—whether adventurous, mysterious, or magical—and gave students a chance to explore character, setting, and dialogue in a meaningful and expressive way.
SHOWCASE Y6 SOSE: MAKING PAPYRUS
Our Year 6 students put on a fantastic showcase this week, demonstrating how to make papyrus—an ancient form of paper used by the Egyptians.
Students walked the audience through the step-by-step process of creating papyrus using modern materials to replicate the traditional technique. They also explained the historical significance of papyrus in ancient Egyptian society, where it was used for writing, record keeping, and communication.
The hands-on demonstration was both informative and engaging, showing how history can come to life through creativity and practical learning.
